Pidgin from default repositories in default OM/ASU 2008.12 (in internal
memory, started with both Qi and NOR U-Boot)
Device was right after reflash and reboot, no configuration was changed.
Only "opkg update" and "opkg install pidgin".
Results of "pidgin -d 2>pidginfail_stderr.txt >pidginfail_stdout.txt" are
atached.
note: there is no icon for pidgin on Homescreen...

Comment(by MMlosh):
Without protocol plugin is crash faster (less plugins found and probed)
When started without "-d" (debug mode), nothing appears on STDOUT, only
that error message from STDERR.

> How can the "asu" theme be edited to make the keyboard work?
From this message
(http://lists.openmoko.org/pipermail/community/2008-December/038614.html):
- extract the files from http://openmoko.spb.ru/download/file.php?id=12
- put asu in /etc/enlightenment/default_profile
- put module.illume.cfg in /usr/share/enlightenment/data/config/asu/ (make
a backup first)
- put asu.edj in /usr/share/enlightenment/data/themes (make a backup
first)
- add "export QTOPIA_NO_VIRTUAL_KEYBOARD=1" in
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/89qtopia
- delete ~/.e folder (and/or make a backup) ugly-ugly!?
- /etc/init.d/xserver-nodm restart
TA-DA!

#2194: Qtopia reduces echo cancelation to -6db during call

--------------------+-------------------------------------------------------
When call is answered/made, qte sends AT commands to set AEC and noise
reduction to -6db and that's not enough. (Person who is calling/called
hears echo strong as my own voice)

Comment(by pb0):
It looks like I have the same problem even with the newest QT extended
(4.4.2) and the latest om image 2008.12. I upgrade firmware from Moko8 to
Moko10. Neo keeps registration only for several seconds. Due this the
outgoing call is impossible and incoming ring only once (or ever). Then
phone is unregistered and registered again. Tested with 4 T-mobile SIMs
and with one brand new O2 SIM with the same behaviour. I tested it with
libgsmd-tool and directly with AT commnads (output is attached).
Should be the problem caused by something else then deep sleep?
Can I run any other command to be the problem allocated?
Anyway it looks like the problem is HW related. The phone should be
replaced with other one by local reseller, shouldn't?
