#2219: qi bootloader appending newline to /boot/append-GTA02 kernel parameter

 Having added kernel parameters in /boot/append-GTA02, setting:
 {{{
 root=/dev/mmcblk0p1
 }}}
 I got the error message an error message stating that it could not find
 "/dev/mmcblk0p1
 "

 It seems that the parameter has a newline added to it.

 Tried with http://people.openmoko.org/andy/qi-
 s3c2442-master_a2d11c4dd18c9517.udfu

 It would be nice if the append file would be stripped/trimmed when it is
 loaded

 Om 2008.12, after logging in and running ps ux, ps will print
 {{{
  Unknown HZ value! (89) Assume 100.
 }}}
 to stderror. It seems that this is caused by an old procps package as
 described here
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=460331
 and here
 http://www.astro.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/middelberg/help/aips.txt

 It does not seem to have any impact on the actual ps output.

Comment(by arhuaco):

 bram: I'm not getting this message with Linux 2.6.28 nor with Linux 2.6.24
 / (FSO stable). This does not seem to be a kernel problem this time.
