Hi,
the axe(4) man page I just committed exposes a strange behavior of mdoc
or groff (see the page's SYNOPSIS section).
Simpler example:
.Dd Sep 8, 2005
.Dt BLAH 4
.Sh NAME
.Nm blah
.Sh SYNOPSIS
The
.Nm
.Sh DESCRIPTION
The
.Nm
This puts a line break after "The" in SYNOPSIS.
I've searched our macros but to be honest, I don't have enough
experience with troff macros to be able to locate the bug quickly. I'll
continue tomorrow, though, if no one knows more.
This has nothing to do with the new groff at least.
