could it be that profiling is partly broken? When I'm profiling a
program, I often get a total of, say, 120 seconds, but it only ran 5
seconds, and the function execution times seem to be bogus. If I try
again, I might get a total of ~ 1 second (also wrong), but functions
seem more correct.
I will try to cross test this with linux to see if this happens there as
well.
