Issue #2800 has been updated by davshao.

Status changed from New to Resolved

After updating to the lastest dports packages, this problem no longer manifests
on any of my test machines. Therefore it appears to be resolved. Thanks!

and dports master, resizing an Xfce4 Terminal window by grabbing a corner with
the mouse causes the window to unexpectedly close. This has been observed on
multiple systems with both Radeon 4xxx graphics cards and Intel integrated
graphics. Furthermore the systems had relatively recent full buildworld
buildkernels, and dports was built against the up-to-date systems.

One question is whether this behavior could be related to a libedit update.
