Issue #3157 has been updated by swildner.

I have put up an IMG with an untested port of ure(4) here ->
https://leaf.dragonflybsd.org/~swildner/dfly_5.3_ure.img.xz

It would be nice if the person who reported this on the IRC channel could try
it out. Of course I'd be happy to hear from anyone else who has one of the
supported devices (Realtek RTL8152/RTL8153), too.

I can provide an ISO or a patch too, if that is needed.

Hi,

User reported on IRC that a TP-Link UE300 USB 3.0 does not work in DragonFly
5.2-RELEASE.

USB device dump:

ugen0.2: <TP-LINK USB 101001000 LAN> at usbus0, cfg=0 md=HOST spd=HIGH
(480Mbps) pwr=ON (180mA)

  bLength = 0x0012
  bDescriptorType = 0x0001
  bcdUSB = 0x0210
  bDeviceClass = 0x0000  <Probed by interface class>
  bDeviceSubClass = 0x0000
  bDeviceProtocol = 0x0000
  bMaxPacketSize0 = 0x0040
  idVendor = 0x2357
  idProduct = 0x0601
  bcdDevice = 0x3000
  iManufacturer = 0x0001  <TP-LINK>
  iProduct = 0x0002  <USB 10/100/1000 LAN>
  iSerialNumber = 0x0006  <000001000000>
  bNumConfigurations = 0x0002

Tried to load several modules (as specified here:
https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/network-usb-tethering.html) but no ue
device is created.
No dmesg output after loading:

[...]

swap low.high-water marks set to 10522/45784

FreeBSD creates interface 'ue0' and if_ure shows up in kldstat.
