If this does not work where do we go from here? I also had an HTTPD lockup a few mins ago (server load ramped up to 190), when doing a killall httpd (under linux) all httpd processes were killed except 1, I had to do multiple kill -9 <process id> before it would die (is this the same issue with the pausing perhaps? this happens once in a while as well..
