http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8553 "Invalid virtual host name" error starting mod_webapp.c [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED Resolution|INVALID | ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-06-09 20:14 ------- Ok, the original poster messed up by reporting two different problems in the same bug report, one wich was a simple matter of RTFM. The second problem however, is real. If you have a apache config with no ServerName set (for example a stock redhat apache installation) you get the confusing error message "Invalid virtual host name". This needs to be fixed (if apache can figure out a reasonable default value for the hostname, so should mod_webapp) or at the very least, the error message should be a bit more informative. Perhaps, 'for now, mod_webapp needs to have the ServerName directive set correctly' --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
