http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=11114 Images stored in AFS served corruptly Summary: Images stored in AFS served corruptly Product: Apache httpd-2.0 Version: 2.0.39 Platform: PC URL: http://gdns-aquarius1.ods.org/kde-dt-20020724.png OS/Version: FreeBSD Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: Core AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have the following setup: VHosts: www.aquarius.null (default), www.ipv6.aquarius.null, ...etc. www.aquarius.null's DocumentRoot is /afs/aquarius.null/common/htdocs/www/, which is stored in an AFS cell, on a file server on the local ethernet segment. Images served from AFS are corrupt when served by Apache2, until viewed for the first time from outside of AFS (or something like that; let me explain what I've witnessed). I first attempted to publish an image of my desktop, the URL to which originally =~ s/png/gif/. I copied the image to a location outside of the AFS cell, onto the local machine running Apache2 (the directory aliased as /icons/ by default). I pointed my browsers to http://.../icons/kde-...724.gif, and the image came up fine. Next, I went back to the old URL, which was served from the AFS cell. I did not manipulate the original image in anyway, but now it came up fine. First, I saved the image in a different format (.png), browsed to it, and the image was broken. I also tried copying the .gif file to antoher name, and it was back to being broken again. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
