Apache 2.0.40 reboot my XP machine if ...

Summary: Apache 2.0.40 reboot my XP machine if ...
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.40
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

everything works fine, but...
if I switch off directory listing and someone acces
directory witch does not have index.html or index.htm but the directory exists
(Apache is running as service-with user permissions) then Apache freeze and
after cca 2minutes the machine reboots !

193.X.X.X - - [22/Sep/2002:22:07:54 +0200] "GET /nonexistingdirectory
HTTP/1.1" 404 275 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 ...
193.X.X.X - - [22/Sep/2002:22:07:58 +0200] "GET /exist HTTP/1.1" 301 312 "-
" "Mozilla/4.0 ...
the directory /exist exists, but IE6 does not return error 301 !!! just reboot
after time !
if I access /nonexistingdirectory the error 404 is returned to the browser.

in error.log i can see:
[Sun Sep 22 21:17:32 2002] [notice] Child 1000: Starting 250 worker threads.
[Sun Sep 22 22:07:54 2002] [error] [client 193.X.X.X] File does not exist:
D:/WEB/WWW/nonexistingdirectory

P.S.
I have ZoneAlarm, and no problems startin/stopping the service !
[User with wich service is running have all needed permitions! on all
directories]

any ideas, ok, i know i can switch on directory listing or just simple create
empty index.html, but REBOOTing machine is too much, what do you think.

Bojan.
