  Sorry, fat fingers, I had dupped your report against the wrong incident,
  you want bug 14382 to explain how to recover.

  You can't be running a server when you install Apache.  Strongly suggest
  you consult an appropriate users list if you don't know how to stop another
  service using port 80.  The bugs database is only for reporting bugs in the
  Apache software, not for user configuration and troubleshooting.

  I will look at making the installer fail more cleanly or prompt for an
  alternate port number if 80 is in use.  Thank you for the report.
