http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=15641 Apache service crashes when stoppe and ZoneAlarm is active Summary: Apache service crashes when stoppe and ZoneAlarm is active Product: Apache httpd-2.0 Version: 2.0.43 Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows NT/2K Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: Critical Priority: Other Component: Platform AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I installed Apache 2.0.43 on my computer at home (Windows 2000 Workstation SP3), where I use ZoneLabs ZoneAlarm (free version, 3.1.395) to protect it from external intruders. I discovered that when stopping the Apache service, the service hangs, cannot be "killed", and after a few minutes the machine crashes (blue screen). If I disable ZoneAlarm, Apache works fine. Here a snap from the error log: [Mon Dec 23 20:06:51 2002] [notice] Parent: Created child process 896 [Mon Dec 23 20:06:51 2002] [notice] Child 896: Child process is running [Mon Dec 23 20:06:51 2002] [notice] Child 896: Acquired the start mutex. [Mon Dec 23 20:06:51 2002] [notice] Child 896: Starting 250 worker threads. [Mon Dec 23 20:06:58 2002] [notice] Parent: Received shutdown signal -- Shutting down the server. [Mon Dec 23 20:06:58 2002] [notice] Child 896: Exit event signaled. Child process is ending. [Mon Dec 23 20:06:59 2002] [notice] Child 896: Released the start mutex [Mon Dec 23 20:07:00 2002] [notice] Child 896: Waiting for 250 worker threads to exit. [Mon Dec 23 20:07:28 2002] [notice] Parent: Forcing termination of child process 248 [Mon Dec 23 20:10:00 2002] [notice] Child 896: Terminating 1878053824 threads that failed to exit. [Mon Dec 23 20:10:00 2002] [notice] Child 896: All worker threads have exited. [Mon Dec 23 20:10:00 2002] [notice] Child 896: Child process is exiting Then the process hangs and there is no way to recover the machine. There is that "Terminating 1878053824 threads that failed to exit." that concerns me a little! I already told ZoneLabs of this problem, but I don't know yet if this is an Apache bug or a ZoneAlarm bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
