BSoD Attemping to Terminate Apache with ZoneAlarm Installed

------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-18 08:16 -------
I found this site and "bug" report by googling zonealarm and corruption. (I
don't run apache, but bear with me -- this still looks relevant.) Until reading
all the info in this bug report, I was running ZoneAlarm 3.1.395 which is either
current or very close. I'm only had it for a short time, but I've noticed a lot
more corrupted downloads from netnews servers, and redownloading the same file
almost always results in a valid file, meaning the data is good on the news
server. So I shut down ZA and voila, no more corrupted files. My system (w2k)
has been up for 18 days, and consistent with the described apache problems with
ZA, it seems that the corruption frequency increases geometrically the longer ZA
is running. So I'm back to relying on just my LinkSys router/gateway/firewall.
Sigh. I'm convinced that there is nothing to be fixed in apache in regards to
the *broken* ZoneAlarm.
