If you are limited to running binaries made available by HP, it is
difficult for us to be helpful to you.  The problem you are 
experiencing is almost certainly caused by a bug in HP-UX, which of 
course you are free to bother them about and perhaps use as a reason 
they should provide a binary of 2.0.44.  Even if it is not an HP-UX
code bug, it is certainly a doc bug.

The only work-around I can think of with 2.0.43 is to run everything
through mod_include (but that doesn't sound very cool).  The best bet 
is to build your own Apache with --disable-sendfile on the configure 
invocation or use Apache >= 2.0.44 and put "EnableSendfile Off" in the 
conf file.
