jk2 does not process Jk directives in httpd.conf

Summary: jk2 does not process Jk directives in httpd.conf
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.43
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Blocker
          Priority: Other
         Component: Other Modules
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

jk2 does not process Jk directives in httpd.conf. I have been trying to pass
env vars between apache and tomcat with JkEnvVar directive in httpd.conf without
success using jk2. I cannot get any of the Jk directives to work. For any of
the Jk directives I receive errors such as this:
Syntax error on line 1106 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'JkEnvVar', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not
included in the server configuration

I am using Apache 2.0.43 and built jk2 2.0.2 locally.
