Apache 1.3.7 running on redhat 7.3 adv server using thier build of apache.

In my attempt to do something I now realize was not the best idea. I wanted to
run two diffrent cgi-bin. I wanted to run two diffrent cgi-bin for 2 diffrent
virtual servers for the same ip address. Basically I wanted to run one bin for
port 80 and one for port 443 for our secure server. Apache really didnt
appericate this and the service would not restart. I commented out the virtual
server and tried to restart apache. It restarted this time but every instance
of it except the core one started by root was showing up as apache <defunct>.
I tried going back to an old good confg file still no go. I rebooted the
server still no go. I had to rpm -e --nodeps apache and reinstall the rpm to
fix the problem. I looked on message boards for this problem and I did not see
anyone else having a problem like this. I have resolved the issue but I wanted
to report it whether it helps anyone or not.
