http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=16120 long URIs terminate transaction ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-04-15 19:20 ------- It is OK for the origin server to terminate a transaction on long URIs because, presumably, that origin server does not "host" (serve) them (i.e., it is just a DoS attack or whatever). A proxy, however, has to accomodate any origin server. It does not have a well-defined set of URLs it MUST "serve". In other words, it MUST serve all URLs (by default, to be compliant). Responding with an error is fine, of course. We will try to reproduce against an origin server, but it may take some time. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
