Apache does not present login box for protected area

You don't. The user's browser does if the server sends a 401. Some browsers
(e.g. MSIE) stop displaying the box after a number of trials (e.g. 3). You have
to go into the browser preferences and to delete the stored credentials.

I'm marking this report invalid until we discover an apache bug :)
