http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=19616 Apache hangs on/after 1. access Summary: Apache hangs on/after 1. access Product: Apache httpd-1.3 Version: 1.3.27 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: Other Component: core AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Gentoo linux, Kernel 2.4.20 (incl. ptrace fixes), no additional modules Apache starts fine (normal and with -X). On first access, it uses the entire CPU, but does not react. This state then lasts forever -- no timeouts or the likes. I believe this behavoiur first appeared after installing a 2.4.20 kernel with ptrace-fixes. strace-attempts die with " ptrace(PTRACE_PEEKUSER,23868,44,0): Operation not permitted", gdb only gives "Couldn't get registers: Operation not permitted." Any idea would be greatly appreciated.
