http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20063 Core Dump when starting Apache with SSL Summary: Core Dump when starting Apache with SSL Product: Apache httpd-2.0 Version: 2.0.45 Platform: Sun OS/Version: Solaris Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: Other Component: mod_ssl AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] When starting an apache 2.0.45 with SSL, the Server core dumps: [Tue May 20 16:32:58 2003] [crit] [Tue May 20 16:32:58 2003] file vhost.c, line 232, assertion "rv == APR_SUCCESS" failed But only, if 'dns' is not in the /etc/nsswitch.conf. If 'dns' is inscribed in the nsswitch.conf, Apache starts with no errors. The 'dns' entry in the nsswitch.conf works even if no domainname is set and no /etc/resolv.conf is on the system. This Problem also does not occure, when "_default_" is replaced with the full qualified domainname of the server in the VirtualHost definition in ssl.conf. This Problem occurs on Solaris 8 and Solaris 9. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
