http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=19985 prefork children dying, parent unresponsive ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-05-23 17:32 ------- Your signal strace has helped me find the problem. We start apache via a special service running on the box. We connect to this service via TCP and it forks a process. We send it a message. The process then forks another process runs the apache start script in it. When the apache demon exits, that child exits. An OK message is sent back and that socket-connection child exits as well. It appears that the signal mask of our apache_startup service is being inherited by apache or affecting apache. The children of the service are exiting correctly (no zombies)... We run this same service on AIX with no problems. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
