http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=19325 mod_include sig Bus error if file modified while being processed ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-06-23 14:29 ------- Yeah, I had already figured out that if you mv the file into place you can prevent the bug from being triggered. Sometimes when this bug is triggered it not only kills the child process but also causes Apache 2 itself to fail completely. The problem is that you never know when a customer might implement something that would trigger this bug. Regarding disabling of mmapp'd files, I don't necessarily care if a few people get a garbled response to an HTTP request. That is much better than apache failing completely. Is there a big performance hit when you disable mmapp'd files? Thanks for the explanation. It gives me the background I need if I want to further research a a patch. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
