Apache core dumps when reading a certain Virtual Hosts scenario

I recompiled this Apache without SSL, and still ...

Um, I am not aware of how to read such a coredump ... don't even know if proper
tools are installed at all.

Would it make sense to add some output statement (maybe to the error_log)
directly to this code position and recompile? If you posted me the lines I would
try that out as well ...
