FreeBSD 4.7 box mounts this share as /mnt/library. All FreeBSD users can read files from this mounted directory perfectly. There is a symlink from the Apache DocumentRoot directory to this directlry, that is .../htdocs/papers points to /mnt/library. If brouser (IE from windows box) is pointed to the appropriate URL, the contents of this directory is listed, but if one tries to download a file larger than 255 bytes, zero-sized file is downloaded. Small files are downloaded without problems.
