http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=25408 SSL/https problem Summary: SSL/https problem Product: Apache httpd-1.3 Version: HEAD Platform: PC URL: http://plant.ewu.edu OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: Other Component: Other AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] We are running a Windows 2000 Server with Apache version 1.3.12 that came bundled with Oracle 8i. We know our apache server is old, but we are hesitant to upgrade it because there is no documentation to upgrade an apache installation that came bundled with oracle 8i. here is our problem. Whenever the client browser trys to access the ssl port/using the url of https://, rather than http://, when the apache service is running, apache will crash and give the following error, in the error_log file: [Tue Dec 09 15:54:34 2003] [crit] (10038)An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket: Parent: WSADuplicateSocket failed for socket 132. [Tue Dec 09 15:54:34 2003] [error] (2)No such file or directory: master_main: create child process failed. Exiting. [Tue Dec 09 15:55:34 2003] [error] forcing termination of child #0 (handle 820) the apache service works fine if the client browser does not use the add "https" into the url, but we need it because we have a login page that we want to encrypt the username and passwords that our clients will be inputting thank you Phil Capiral Eastern Washington University Cheney, Washington --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
