Hi there,
I hope I am proceeding correctly here by reporting an error I receive when
trying to access "http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/index.php"; after installing PHP
& Apache 2 for the first time.

If I edit the config.inc file to include "localhost", config", "root"
and "password" - when I go to the above http address it won't work - however
if I take out the word "password" from the config.inc file it does work - but
I do get this message in "red" font color :
"Your configuration file contains settings (root with no password) that
correspond to the default MySQL privileged account. Your MySQL server is
running with this default, is open to intrusion, and you really should fix
this security hole."

I am pretty sure this is an easy fix, but I just don't know enough about this
to fix the error before I grow old and die.

Any help you might give me might allow my hair to grow back, and put a smile
on my face again.

Many thanks for your help
Tony Walker
