I've put an echo at the beginning and it keeps just displaying that message. In the meantime, it never does any actual configuration work. I've done a very bare-bones call of the script, just ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2, I've done a more verbose call, e.g. ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2 --verbose --enable-so --enable- ssl, and I get the same thing every time. This is starting under bash on Debian 3.0, kernel 2.4.24.
