http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=28643 make install-include (slightly) alters system include files Summary: make install-include (slightly) alters system include files Product: Apache httpd-2.0 Version: 2.0-HEAD Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: Build AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The install-include target in the main Makefile includes the line @chmod 644 $(DESTDIR)$(includedir)/*.h By default, this chmod's all headers in /usr/include. This is a minor change, but is, for instance, noted when determining which files have status changed by installation. Apache shouldn't mess with other system files ;-) More importantly, as all includes are installed with cp -p, and all currently installed includes have mode already set to 644, this is unnecessary. I will include a patch against the latest CVS below. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
