http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=29700 Range header failure on second hard disk Summary: Range header failure on second hard disk Product: Apache httpd-2.0 Version: 2.0.46 Platform: PC OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: Other Component: All AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] There is a problem with the range flag when trying to access a file located on the second hard disk. ------ For better undersanding i'll explain my configuration (simplified paths) : /home/ is my web directory, shared by apache as root /home/mir/ is a mountpoint /home2/ is my second hard disk /home2/a.avi is a file i want to share /home2/mir/ is my "public" directory on the second hard disk i'v plugged in my web directory the second disk by doing mount --bind /home2/mir/ /home/mir/ then i've created a hardlink on /home2/mir/b.avi -> /home2/a.avi ln /home2/a.avi /home2/mir/b.avi so i can access the "real" /home2/a.avi by doing /home/mir/b.avi a.avi size is 735'344'640 bytes, so b.avi has the sams size ------ When i do the following request GET /mir/b.avi HTTP/1.1 Host: server Apache/2.0.46 (Red Hat) replies 200 OK and send the data (no problem) Then the problem appears when I want to resume my file GET /mir/b.avi HTTP/1.1 Host: server Range: bytes=506469- Apache replies 416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable Instead of this message it should reply 206 Partial Content Maybe there is a problem in the evaluation of the size of an hardlink. If anyone has an idea or can help me in another manner to access AND resume a file located on a second drive...
