http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=30035 mod_rewrite and access restricted directories not working ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-07-11 12:48 ------- Hi, i tried the rewriterule you suggested, André, with no success (i.e. same result). even a rule like # nothing else RewriteRule (.*) http://otherhost/$1 [R,L] doesn't work (it works perfectly for other not-restricted directories thou) and Nick, no, if I request foo/ i get the same strange result, and if I turn mod_rewrite off, the request for http://thishost/foo/ will correctly return a request to authenticate myself. If I include correct credentials into the initial request (with rewriteengine on), I still will be referred to error.html, when requesting thishost/foo/. when requesting otherhost/foo/ now for the last comment of yours: the "rest" of my configuration. I figured it was best to reinstall the latest 1.3 apache on a dedicated box and try it there before I reopen this bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
