apache 2.0.50 modssl still crash(It is never crash when not useing startssl )

I'm having the same problem... I tried adding "CoredumpDirectory /var/tmp" to my
/etc/apache2/conf/apache2.conf file, then doing what you showed above... but no
cores are generated... Is there something else I'm missing?

Here's my configuration:
Apache/2.0.50 (Gentoo/Linux) mod_ssl/2.0.50 OpenSSL/0.9.7d DAV/2 SVN/1.0.6
PHP/4.3.8 configured -- resuming normal operations

Here's the scenario for me:
I access a directory accessible only by SSL on the web server that has a
.htaccess file that pops up an HTTP auth dialog. I enter the password correctly
and instead of going to a new page, my browser stays at the same page and I get
the "child pid xxx exit signal Segment fault (11)" in the logs. Any ideas?
