http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=30860 Misinformation in default httpd.conf Summary: Misinformation in default httpd.conf Product: Apache httpd-2.0 Version: 2.0-HEAD Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: Other Component: Documentation AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In default httpd.conf it reads "as the standard dictates that a page is in iso-8859-1 (latin1) unless specified otherwise". Well, at http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/charset.html#h-5.2.2 it is said ""user agents must not assume any default value for the 'charset' parameter". So, server admins should always set default charset. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
