http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=36225 Summary: Static/Shared/DSO Product: Apache httpd-2.0 Version: 2.0.54 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Documentation AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The version 2 document indicates that a module can be statically linked, PHP people tell me that version 2 does not support static modules. The document is very confusing and limited, with no examples. Should have: 1. how to link static 2. how to link with the normal shared libs 3. how to link using DSO. The Apache HTTP Server is a modular program where the administrator can choose the functionality to include in the server by selecting a set of modules. The modules can be statically compiled into the httpd binary when the server is built. Alternatively, modules can be compiled as Dynamic Shared Objects (DSOs) that exist separately from the main httpd binary file. DSO modules may be compiled at the time the server is built, or they may be compiled and added at a later time using the Apache Extension Tool (apxs). -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
