You're creating a symlink at /usr/local/www/sharename. But you're talking about enabling FollowSymLinks at "/usr/local/www/data/mp3share", which makes no sense. You need to enable it in /usr/local/www. That's where the symlink will or will not be dereferenced. FollowSymLinks controls whether or not a symlink in the contained context will be followed. Not whether a symlink can be followed *to* the contained context.
