           Summary: Reverse proxy on Windows XP is sending the HTTP headers
                    twice
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.54
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_proxy
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When running the following configuration on Windows XP Prof SP2 the Apache
2.0.54 server acting as a reverse proxy is a wrong HTTP request to the HTTP
server behind it.

When running exactly the same configuration on Windows Server 2003 SP1 there is
no problem.

When running the following configuration:

<VirtualHost *:8080>
        ServerAdmin             [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ServerName              mysite

        ProxyPreserveHost       On
        ProxyPass               / http://inside:8080/
        ProxyPassReverse        / http://inside:8080/

        ErrorLog                logs/mysite-nossl-error.log
        TransferLog             logs/mysite-nossl-access.log
        LogLevel Info
</VirtualHost>

The target server (http://inside:8080/) is receiving the following HTTP request:

GET / HTTP/1.1
Host: mysite:8080
Accept: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg,
application/x-shockwave-flash, */*
