I found this and it really worked... I am glad...

Modify your php.ini 
so that register_globals = On
remember to restart the apache server and your posts should work
I had the same problem with Apache 2.0.43 and PHP 4.3.0-dev but it works fine 
now.

but note also what the php.ini comment says:
You should do your best to write your scripts so that they do not require
register_globals to be on;  Using form variables as globals can easily lead
to possible security problems, if the code is not very well thought of.
