http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=40301 Summary: Missing directory causes 403 instead of 404 error Product: Apache httpd-2 Version: 2.0.58 Platform: Sun OS/Version: Solaris Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Core AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have access denied using "Deny all" inside a <Directory /> and an "Alias /dirname/" pointing to a directory with access enabled using a "<Directory /dirname/" and "Allow all". If that directory is missing people get a 403 error instead of a 404 error.
