http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41252 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-01-10 13:05 ------- As I am little bit in a hurry right now just a short answer. After further analysis I guess your server is impacted by some kind of DoS attack. Whether this is intended or just a result of configuring your server with a too small capacity for your site is a different story. So what can you do about it? 1. Increase MaxClients in the <IfModule prefork.c> section by a huge amount. Lets say to 100. 2. Decrease the Timeout which by default is set to 300 secs (= 5 minutes) to a much lower value. From my experience 15 is a good choice provided that you do not use CGI scripts that run longer than this time. Unfortunately the directive Timeout sets timeouts for many different situations. 3. Increase SendBufferSize to lets say 65536 (= 64kb). Keep in mind that this amount of memory is used by every http connection done to your box and is used until this connection is closed. So you have to take into account the memory utilization of your box and the maximum number of clients (see 1.). Let me know if this gives you relief and helps. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
