http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41611 Summary: Apache HTTP Server doesn't run as a service on Windows Vista Product: Apache httpd-1.3 Version: HEAD Platform: PC OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: core AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I've installed the binary build of Apache HTTP Server 1.3.37 (apache_1.3.37-win32-x86-no_src.msi) on Windows Vista (version 6.0.6000). The "Apache" service is installed OK and the "httpd.conf" file is configured with appropriate settings, but when I try to start the service I get error 1067 from the service control manager: "The process was terminated unexpectedly." The apache.exe process runs fine if I just run "apache.exe" from a Command Prompt. I get much the same result using Apache HTTP Server 2.2.4. (Btw, neither Version "1.3.37" nor OS "Windows Vista" were in the lists of options on the bug entry page, so I've selected "HEAD" and "other" respectively.) -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
