http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41764 Summary: error state and conf Product: Apache httpd-2 Version: 2.3-HEAD Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: mod_proxy_balancer AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi, with the 2.3 the behavior of the balancer module changed. in 2.2, as far as a balance-member did't response, he was set into error-state.. but now, he tries for a long time.. of course now, i chnaged the timeout to "1", so he only tries for one second, and then tries the next one.. BUT: now, with a bigger balancer-set (i have one with 15 members) he first tries this 15 members, and the switchs to the 'spare one' [or error-code if not set], and of course, this happens ever "retry=xx" second.. so if half of the server's didn't response, i get long answers for nothing.. secondly, there is still this problem, that the "<Proxy balancer://xyz>" has to be set in the virtual host-part IF YOU WANT to use the STICKY Session. This is a mess, because i have lots of balancers, and therfore one file where all them are configured. An include in the general section works for 'standard-balncing', but for using sticky-session, i have to include this file in every virtual-host-section.. :-( Thanks for help dominik -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
