http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=38635 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-03-07 01:43 ------- It should be noted that "AcceptPathInfo on" has side effects which are clearly undesirable, and therefore it would be nice if this error would be corrected in mod_speling (mod_speling requesting/granting path info information instead of one having to enable it globally?). For instance, when accessing directories such as /directory/ (no index page) with mod_autoindex showing the directory listing one can happily append /documentation/documentation/documentati... (etc.) to the URL and Apache will serve the /documentation/ directory... Imagine a (broken) webpage with relative links to "documentation/" and a URL crawler which descends deep and you'll get the idea. It will continue appending "documentation/" to the list of URLs to discover and digging deeper and deeper but never reach an end...
