I`d like to ask though does anyone have a pointer to some information as to why this ambiguous behavour is implememnted e.g what security concerns are there for paths etc as this all has me wondering about the validity of using hex coded entities in a SEF style URL (are there other uses that require said query string/path mangling ?).
