The reason I put this in here is because:

1)  This uses the httpd.spec file provided by the Apache httpd tar, not 
Redhat.  If a file provided by the product doesn't work in a fairly stock 
case, I would think that there would be at least a note in the documentation 
somewhere.  I realize that RH's config is not Apache's problem, but if I were 
to run the same configure/make outside of rpmbuild, this would error the same 
way.
2)  If this is a header problem, as indicated, and I remove httpd-devel, this 
also removes apr-config, which is marked as a dependency for the build.  If a 
header problem, this would seem to be because apr-config sets the -I path 
of /usr/include/httpd before everything else (though I'm personally not sure 
if order matters on -I)

If this is still a moot point, I'm disappointed, but I understand... just 
close as invalid again.
