When mod_ldap attempts to use the connection, is evaluates the error code that is returned. In that evaluation, it looks for SERVER_DOWN and then retries. We have already seen several places where the Windows LDAP server is returning error codes that are different from OpenLDAP or Novell LDAP. This looks like another one. I don't have a Windows LDAP server nor am I running Apache on Windows so I really don't know what error code the Windows LDAP server is returning. But my guess is that the error code is something other than what is expected.
