I just retested this with the 2.2 code and the only way that I was able to reproduce the results that you are seeing is when AuthLDAPBindDN and AuthLDAPBindPassword are commented out and ldap binds anonymously. Once the credentials were given, everything worked as expected. Also, require group in apache 2.2 is file group and not ldap group. The group authorization type has been defined in 2.2 as specifically a file based group while ldap-group is defined as an ldap based group. In order to avoid confusion, the two are no longer interchangable.
