The whole purpose of mod_vhosts_alias is to compress many VirtualHost containers that are identical (save for the DocumentRoot and ServerName) into a few simple directives. This works great except for the fact that the resulting virtual hosts are NOT the equivelent of their hard coded equivalents because the DOCUMENT_ROOT variable is not adjusted to the VirtualDocumentRoot.
