I'm wondering about the reasons for a patch with a configurable global
limit (comment #24) instead of the patch described in comments #12 and
#13 which uses the existing LimitRequestBody directive to give control
over the SSL maximum buffer size at the level of server config,
virtual host, directory or .htaccess.

Is there perhaps a reason for keeping the SSL maximum buffer size
smaller than a configured maximal request size?
