I too have confirmed same problem.
I think SSL and vhost are not related to this problem.
My config relating to it is;
<Location /app1/>
ProxyPass http://192.168.1.100/app1/
ProxyPassReverse http://192.168.3.100/app1/
</Location>
<Location /app2/>
ProxyPass http://192.168.1.100/app2/
ProxyPassReverse http://192.168.3.100/app2/
</Location>
