Nothing in mod_ldap monitors or cares about a pooled connection until some
normal request-processing thread goes to use it.
I do not see any way to turn off the connection pooling, and there is no search
timeout either.
I assume you have 1 authenticated request that works, then a hang during a
subsequent request -- can you get a backtrace of the relevant child process
when it's hanging?
