Patch against trunk

Could you please recheck this final version of the patch? I should be similar
to the last one with the following changes:

1. Removed debug logging
2. Patch is against trunk instead of 2.2.x and thus patch will report some
messages when applying, but this does not hurt.

So the basic question for this patch is whether httpd core dumps any longer or
not. Hopefully the answer is: NO :-).
I would be also interested in getting to know if the core dumps on your
original Solaris based environment are now gone as well if the patch is
applied.
